Cherrypark

Cherrypark is the administration building of the Inveraray Castle estate . It is not far from the castle near Inveraray in the Scottish Council Area Argyll and Bute . In 1971 the building was included in the Scottish List of Monuments in the highest category A.

The structure is located around 200 m west of Inveraray Castle near the west bank of the Aray . While Historic Scotland names John Adam as the architect, the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland names Robert Mylne . The Georgian-style Cherrypark was built around 1760. Four elongated parts of the building completely enclose a square inner courtyard. While the outer facades of the one-story building are clad with ashlar, the inner facades are plastered with Harl . Two-story towers with pyramid roofs rise from the building edges .
