Elie Chevieux

Elie Chevieux (born October 7, 1973 in Geneva ) is a Swiss sport climber .

Life

His first big success was winning the Rockmaster in 1993. Chevieux became world champion in 1997 in Paris in dueling competition. Two years earlier he had taken third place at the world championships in difficult climbing in Geneva . Since October 2003, Chevieux has been taking photos in Russia, Siberia, Japan, India, Nepal and Pakistan.

Some media reported in mid-May 2004 that Chevieux was one of the two people found stoned on May 9, 2004 in a park in the Afghan capital, Kabul . However, it turned out that Chevieux was never in Afghanistan. The report that the Chevieux passport had been found among the dead was false.
