Chiba Alpine Cup

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Chiba Alpencup is a cycling marathon event that consists of three races with a common overall ranking for drivers who take part in all three races.

The series includes the Amadé bike marathon , the Engadin bike marathon and the Eddy Merckx Classic . In the past, the Berchtesgadener Land Radmarathon , which was held for the last time in 2010, was part of it. The most demanding of the three cycling marathons is the Engadin cycling marathon in Zernez ; it leads over three passes for the short route and five passes for the long route, which makes the bike marathon a special challenge and at the same time is one of the most famous and largest bike marathons in Switzerland . This cycling event is part of the Swiss Cycling Top Tour , and the Engadin cycling marathon is also the largest event in the “Alpine Cup”. In this racing bike series, a joint ranking is carried out together with the Amadé bike marathon in Radstadt , Austria , and the Eddy Merckx Classic bike marathon in Fuschl am See . The end of the Alpencup is the Eddy Merckx Classics , which takes place in Austria in mid-September.

Amadé cycling marathon

The Amadé bike marathon is the first of the Alpine Cup and takes place in May. This makes it the easiest of the three races. For some years now, three route variants over 181 km and 2490 meters in altitude, 96 km and 1535 meters in altitude and 54 km and 1040 meters in altitude have been offered.
