Children in Need

The British charity Children in Need is operated by the British Broadcasting Corporation . Since the campaign began in 1980, it has raised £ 950 million in donations to support disadvantaged children and young people. Children in Need was recognized as a charity in England and Wales in 1988 and Scotland in 2008 .

Telethon

The highlight is an annual television gala ( Telethon ) on BBC One , where many, mostly British, artists appear. In the first few years the program was presented by Terry Wogan . Tess Daly is currently the main presenter.

Pudsey Bear, mascot of the BBC Children In Need Children's Fund

The action's mascot is Pudsey the bear . It is a yellow teddy bear that has one eye blindfolded.
