Chimprom ( Russian Химпром ) is a Russian chemical company in Novocheboksarsk .

The company is part of the Renova group of Wiktor Felixowitsch Wekselberg . It is traded on the Russian MICEX exchange. According to its own information, the company had around 3700 employees in 2018.

Product range

Chimprom's product range includes various nationally and internationally traded chemicals, including chlorinated hydrocarbons , phosphoric acid esters and organosilicon compounds . Household goods, herbicides and insecticides , polyesters and polyurethane foams are also produced. Other basic chemicals round off the product range. The industries supplied are in the chemical industry, oil and gas production, paper raw materials and paper industry, wood processing, medical device industry, pharmaceutical industry, electrical engineering, metal production, construction and other branches of industry.

During the Soviet era , Chimprom, founded in 1960, also produced nerve gases from the group of organophosphates .
