China Yangtze Power ( CYPC ) is a Chinese company with headquarters in Beijing . The company was listed in the SSE 50 share index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange .
The company produces and sells energy to its customers. China Yangtze Power was founded on November 4, 2002 and was floated on November 18, 2003. China Yangtze Power emerged from a cooperation between the Chinese companies Haneng Power International , China National Nuclear , China National Petroleum , Gezhouba Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering Group as well as the Changjiang Institute of Survey, Planning, Design and Research .
The company operates the Gezhouba Power Station hydropower plant and the Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River .
