Shanghai Stock Exchange 50 Index (short: SSE 50) is a stock index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange . The index contains the values of the 50 largest Chinese companies (see list of the largest companies in the People's Republic of China ), selected from the Shanghai Stock Exchange 180 Index .
