China Zheshang Bank , abbreviated as CZB is a listed commercial bank headquartered in Hangzhou of China , by the Chinese People's Bank is regulated. With total assets of approx. 239 billion US dollars in 2019, it is one of the 100 largest financial institutions worldwide.

history

China Zheshang Bank has its roots in Zhejiang Commercial Bank, which was founded in 1993 in Ningbo in the Chinese province of Zhejiang . The Zhejiang Commercial Bank was a Sino-foreign bank, which is jointly owned by the Bank of China , the Hong Kong Nanyang Commercial Bank , the Bank of Communications and the Zhejiang International Trust and Investment Co. was located.

On June 30, 2004, the Chinese Banking Regulation Commission approved the restructuring, renaming, and relocation of Zhejiang Commercial Bank. On August 18, 2004, China Zheshang Bank was officially opened as a new bank in Hangzhou.

The bank's operations initially focused on Zhejiang Province and eventually expanded to large parts of the country. In 2016 the bank was registered on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange . In December 2017, it received the Hong Kong banking license from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and opened its first branch there in 2018. As of December 31, 2018, CZB had 242 branches in the country.
