Chinese finger trap suture for attaching an esophageal probe to a cat

The Chinese finger-down weld (engl. Chinese finger trap [friction] suture ) is a suture technique for attachment of feeding tubes and chest drains in veterinary medicine. Here, a thread anchored in the skin is looped several times around the end protruding from the body and then knotted. This seam works like a “Chinese finger trap” or extension sleeve : When you try to pull out the probe, the loops are pulled together and the probe is fixed even more firmly in its bearing.
