Karl Haff
Karl Alois Haff (born April 9, 1879 in Pfronten ; † March 6, 1955 in Hamburg ) was a German legal scholar .
Life
After graduating from high school in Kempten (Allgäu) , he studied law in Munich , Berlin and Würzburg . After receiving his doctorate in 1902, he was an assessor in Munich from 1905 to 1907 . After his habilitation in 1909 (German law, civil law) in Würzburg, he taught there from 1908 to 1910 as a private lecturer . From 1910 to 1918 he was ao. Professor in Lausanne . From 1918 to 1919 he was a professor in Rostock . From 1919 to 1955 he teaches as full professor for civil law, commercial law, German legal history and Nordic law at the University of Hamburg .
