Chioma Mathilda Nnamaka (born June 15, 1985 in Uppsala , Sweden ) is a professional basketball player who played 14 times for the Swedish national team. She currently plays for the Atlanta Dream in the Women's National Basketball Association as a point guard . Her brother Oluoma Nnamaka is also a professional basketball player.

Career

college

Nnamaka studied at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2008 . She graduated with a degree in international affairs . Nnamaka also played for the university's women's basketball team during this period.

Women's National Basketball Association

Chioma Nnamaka was selected 21st in the 2008 WNBA Draft by the San Antonio Silver Stars . The Atlanta Dream transferred expansion draft pick Ann Wauters , as well as the draft rights to Morenike Atunrase and a second-round draft pick in the WNBA Draft 2009 to the Silver Stars for Nnamka's draft rights, Camille Little and a first-round draft pick. She made her WNBA debut on May 3rd in a preseason game against the Los Angeles Sparks .
