Chloë (biblical figure)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chloë (Greek "the green one") was a woman living in Corinth or in Ephesus , probably a released slave who now had slaves work for herself.

The apostle Paul mentions in his first letter to the church in Corinth that "the people of Chloë" had informed him of a serious dispute in the church ( 1 Cor 1:11  EU ).

It cannot be said with certainty whether Chloë himself adhered to the Christian faith.
