Lothar Wehr

Lothar Wehr (born April 29, 1958 in Duisburg ) is a Roman Catholic priest and theologian . He is professor for the New Testament at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt .

Life

After the study of Catholic theology at the University of Bochum and at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich from 1976 to 1981, he was awarded in December 1981 the price of the Ruhr University in Bochum for the dissertation in the subject Old Testament with the subject of Ezekiel 18 - Form, tradition, editing .

1985 Wehr started with a thesis on the subject of “Medicines for Immortality. The Eucharist with Ignatius of Antioch and in the Gospel of John ”received his doctorate as Doctor theologiae at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. Scientific career

From 1989 Wehr was a research assistant (from 2005: senior assistant ) to Joachim Gnilka at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .
