The Chongqing International Finance Center (also known as the Marriott Center ) is a dormant construction site of a skyscraper in the Chinese city of Chongqing . Construction of the high-rise began in 2003, but was halted indefinitely in 2006. Nevertheless, six floors have so far been built in the shell. A construction crane is still on the reinforced concrete scaffolding . It is currently not known when and whether the construction work will be continued.

The building should reach a height of 431 meters, making it the tallest in the city and one of the tallest in the world. According to the plans, offices are to be built in the lower area of the 102 floors and a luxurious hotel further up. The construction project has already undergone a number of design changes: initially the tower was supposed to be 266 meters high, later the height was increased to 303 meters, 377 meters and 398 meters, until 431 meters were announced.
