The Frédéric Chopin Park is a 5 hectare park in the city center of Gliwice (Gleiwitz). Chopin Park is located between Berbeckiego, Fredry and Sienkiewicza streets. Originally the park was called Promenade and was later renamed the city ​​park .

History and description

There are several monuments in the park, such as the Reclining Lions by Johann Gottfried Schadow, the Chopin memorial and the memorial to the victims of wars and totalitarianism. In the park there is also the municipal palm house and next to it the gardener's house.

The park used to be home to the lion monument , a memorial hall, the monument to the fallen soldiers of the Uhlan regiment and the Deventer hill with a pavilion on its top.

The park was created in the 19th century between a Klodnitz arm and the Klodnitz Canal .
