The Reclining Lions are two lion sculptures by the sculptor Johann Gottfried Schadow in the Polish city of Gliwice ( Gleiwitz ).

The sculptures are located on two plinths in front of the city palm house in the Frédéric Chopin Park in Gliwice, the former city park.

The sculptures depict two forward-looking lions with raised heads. The sculptures were made in 1830 in the iron foundry of the Gleiwitzer Hütte from cast iron.

At first the lions stood in the hut cemetery , where they decorated the entrance and were placed opposite one another. In 1938 they were moved to the city park and placed in front of the mausoleum there. While the mausoleum was destroyed after 1945, the lions stood there until 1998, when they were erected in front of the renovated palm house in connection with a rededication of the site to a memorial.

Two other copies of the Schadow Lion stand in front of the Gliwickie Zakłady Urządzeń Technicznych, the former iron foundry.
