The Chopin Hill is a 600 m high and snowy hills on the West Antarctic Alexander Island . It rises 3 km southwest of Mount Schumann on the Beethoven peninsula .
Aerial photographs of the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) were used in 1960 by the British geographer Derek Searle from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey for mapping. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on March 2, 1961 after the Polish-French composer Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849).
