Choqok is a microblogging application for the KDE Software Compilation 4 and runs from version 1.6 with the KDE Frameworks 5 .
The program is clear and simple, although it contains a comparatively large number of functions.
Choqok is being developed by Mehrdad Momeny and Andrey Esin in the programming language C ++ as part of the KDE project and distributed as free software also in the source code under the conditions of version 3 of the GNU General Public License (GPL). The name is the old Persian word for sparrow .
Functions
The software supports Twitter , Friendica and Identi.ca , as well as various services for shortening URLs . A preview for pictures on Twitpic and videos on YouTube is available as well as the possibility to save passwords in KWallet .
