It was founded in the early 1970s as a gospel and spiritual choir in the Bildstock congregation in Saarland and initially only recruited members of the parish in which he performed at so-called beat masses. It was only with more and more frequent appearances outside of churches that today's repertoire was formed , which now also includes shows and dance performances and can usually be found close to musicals and film scores . In addition, evergreens of rock and pop literature as well as current rock and pop music are performed. In 1976 the name Chorwurm was born.

The choir plays in large halls ( Saarlandhalle , Congresshalle ) as well as smaller company events and the like.
