Alfred Ditte
Alfred Ditte (born October 20, 1843 in Rennes , † November 7, 1908 ) was a French chemist.
He was a student of Henri Etienne Sainte-Claire Deville and became a professor of inorganic chemistry at the Sorbonne in Paris. Around 1888 he was professor of chemistry at the Faculté Science in Caen .
In 1897 he became a member of the Academy of Sciences in Paris. Jean-Baptiste Charcot named Mount Ditte (67 ° 43 'S; 68 ° 37' W) in Antarctica after him in 1912 .
