Chressbrunnen or earlier Kressbrunnen is a place between Haslenmühle and Isenhammer southwest of Gossau in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland . The place belongs to the municipality of Gossau and is located directly below the Espel biotope at Dorfbach Gossau on the cantonal road to Flawil .

In Chressbrunnen there was a former mill , the Kressbrunnenmühle. Such a site was first mentioned in 1545. In the middle of the 19th century, the mill was bought by Johann Eberle from Häggenschwil. Whose sons they took over in 1888. The brothers Eberle built to operate the mill in Smooth Tobel the dam Buchholz with a crest length of 48 meters. It is considered to be the second oldest dam in Switzerland. In 1902 the older son moved to Rickenbach, his brother took over the mill, which from then on Victor Eberle Mühle Kressbrunnen Electrischer Kraftbetrieb Gossau-St. Gallen was called. But a fire put an end to the mill operation in 1909 and after a second fire ten years later the history of the Kressbrunnenmühle was over.
