Chris Bowen (born January 17, 1973 ) is an Australian politician .

Life

Bowen studied economics at the University of Sydney after finishing school . Bowen has been MP for the Australian Labor Party in the Australian House of Representatives for an electoral district in Sydney since October 2004, replacing MP Janice Crosio . Between 2009 and 2013 Bowen was Minister in the cabinets of Julia Gillard and her successor Kevin Rudd . Bowen is an atheist .
