Christopher McNealy (born April 30, 1992 ) is an American basketball player .

career

McNealy, whose father Chris the Elder played as a professional basketball player at the New York Knicks , in Italy and Spain , was part of the basketball team at San Ramon Valley High School in California . There he recommended himself with good basketball performance for a sports scholarship at the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine). As of 2010, he was a member of UC Irvine's basketball team in the first division of the NCAA. He played for the university team until 2014 and became captain over time. When he left UC Irvine in 2014, he was one of only three players in the team's history who had reached more than 1000 points, 500 rebounds and 200 assists in their university days. With 135 games played for UC Irvine, McNealy set a new record, no player had previously worn the colors of the college's basketball team in more matches.

In 2014, the Sioux Falls Skyforce secured the rights to McNealy in the draft process of the NBA D-League , but he was removed from the squad before the start of the 2014/15 game year.

In December 2015, McNealy was signed by the Austrian Bundesliga club Oberwart Gunners . With Oberwart, he won the Austrian championship and the cup competition in 2016, which was known as the most successful season in club history to date, and was named the best player in the final series. In the championship season he achieved averages of 13.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 basket assists in the Bundesliga and increased to 16.0 points per match in his second year in Oberwart, plus an average of 4.3 rebounds as well 2.1 templates.

In autumn 2017 he accepted a contract offer from the Greek first division club Panionios Athens . He played a total of twelve league games for Panionios until spring 2018 and achieved averages of 6.8 points and 4.1 rebounds per encounter. In November 2018, McNealy was signed by the Finnish first division club URA Basket . He played five league games for the team (7.6 points / game).
