Christopher Bradley "Chris" Owens (born September 7, 1961 in Toronto ) is a Canadian actor .

Owens was the son of Jeannette, a jazz singer, and Garry Owens, a drummer.

Owens has appeared in many feature films , often in supporting roles such as Cocktail and The Use . He became famous with the TV series The X-Files - The FBI's Scary Cases . Owens played the younger version of CGB Spender, the "Cancer Candidate".

In 1998 Owen's special agent played Jeffrey Spender, son of the "smoker". Owens returned in the 2002 episode For the Sake of the Child as the hideously disfigured Jeffrey Spender who survived the "murder". He reappeared a few episodes later in The Truth (Part 2) , the series finale.

He has been nominated for numerous prizes.
