Chris Trautmann

Chris Trautmann (born September 18, 1964 in Oberhausen ) is a German translator and writer .

Life

Trautmann grew up in Oberhausen and in various small villages on the German North Sea coast. He left school shortly before graduation and has been working as a translator (under his real name Christian Trautmann) and author in Nordleda since 1992 .

In 1990 his first novel "Die Melancholie der Kleinstädte" was published by S. Fischer in the Fischer-Boot series. Since then, publications have followed in literary newspapers (including in Krachkultur ) and anthologies. In 2013 his non-fiction book "111 reasons to love Formula 1" was published by Verlag Schwarzkopf & Schwarzkopf Verlag . In March 2015 his novel “Bye Bye Love” will be published by Schwarzkopf & Schwarzkopf.
