Christa Müller (politician, 1950)

Christa Müller (born November 21, 1950 in Berlin ) is a Berlin politician ( SPD ). She was a member of the House of Representatives from 2001 to 2011 .

Life, studies, work

After graduating from high school in 1969, Christa Müller completed a commercial apprenticeship as a transport clerk. She then studied business and transport management in Dresden and graduated in 1973 with a Dipl.-Ing.-oec.

From 1973 to 1976 she worked as a traffic economist, from 1977 to 1980 as a research assistant and from 1983 to 1990 as an investor planning employee. From 1990 to 1996 she was district councilor in Weißensee, head of the family, youth and sports departments and, from 1994 to 1996, of the health and environmental protection departments. She has been a teacher at Euro Train Berlin since 2001.

In 1990 Christa Müller joined the SPD. From 1996 to 1999 she was a member of the district assembly of the then Weißensee district . From 1996 to 2006 she was a member of the SPD-GKV Weißensee / Pankow and since 2006 chairwoman of the SPD department in Heinersdorf / Blankenburg.

From 2001 to 2011 Christa Müller was a member of the House of Representatives; she was directly elected in the constituency of Pankow 4 .

Christa Müller did not run again in the 2011 elections.
