Christa Reichwaldt

Christa Reichwaldt (born October 20, 1955 in Hanover ) is a former German politician ( Die Linke ). From 2008 to 2013 she was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school in Hanover, Reichwaldt graduated from the University of Hanover to study for higher education in grammar schools, in the subjects of English and history. After she passed the first state examination in 1981, she successfully passed the master’s examination in English in 1983. From 1983 to 1985 she did a legal clerkship at the Georg Büchner-Gymnasium in Letter, after which she also passed the second state examination. From 1985 until she moved into the state parliament in 2008, she worked as an employee in a credit institute, where she was also a member of the works council. Reichwaldt was first a member of the Public Services, Transport and Traffic Union (ÖTV), and later at Ver.di.

politics

Reichwaldt was a member of the SPD from 1975 to 1999. In 2005 she joined the Left Party in Lower Saxony, where she was a member of the district executive committee of the Hanover region . In the state elections in 2008 , she moved into the Lower Saxony state parliament via the state list of the Left , where she became the educational policy spokesperson for her parliamentary group and was its parliamentary manager from 2008 to 2011 . In the state elections in 2013 she did not run again, in 2014 she left the Left Party.
