Christel Hedwig Ernestine Vossbeck-Kayser (born June 1, 1961 in Recke (Westphalia) ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

In 1980 she passed her Abitur at the Goethe Gymnasium Ibbenbüren . Four years later she completed her studies in social education at the Catholic University of North Rhine-Westphalia with a degree in social education . Christel Voßbeck-Kayser and her family are at home in Altena .

In the 2013 federal election , Vossbeck-Kayser was elected as a member of the German Bundestag at 34th place on the CDU state list in North Rhine-Westphalia , but as a direct candidate was only slightly defeated by her competitor Dagmar Freitag (SPD) by just 53 votes . In 2017, the result of the first votes was also tight: She was only 1173 votes short of winning as a direct candidate (corresponds to 0.8% of the first votes). Since she was not secured with one of the top places on the state list, she left the Bundestag.
