Christianity in Kuwait

The number of Christians in Kuwait is around 300,000.

The freedom of religion is only mentioned in the Constitution. Some Christian denominations are also recognized. However, there are very few Christians who are Kuwait citizens .

Roman Catholic Church

The Roman Catholic Church in Kuwait has 75,000–200,000 members. In 1953 the Apostolic Prefecture of Kuwait was founded, which was elevated to the Apostolic Vicariate of Kuwait in 1954 and was renamed the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia in 2011 . The Apostolic Vicar was last Camillo Ballin until his death in April 2020 .

The Melkite Greek Catholic Church has 1,000–2,000 members.

Orthodox churches

The Coptic Orthodox Church has around 60,000 members, the Armenian Orthodox Church around 4,000 and the Greek Orthodox Church around 3,500.

Protestant churches

The National Evangelical Church has approximately 40,000 members in more than 70 parishes in Kuwait.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church are present in Kuwait.
