Christianity in the United Arab Emirates

The Christianity is in the United Arab Emirates , a Muslim country in the minority. There is no official recognition of Christian denominations there. Islam is the state religion in the United Arab Emirates .

The country has Protestant , Indian Orthodox, Coptic Orthodox, and Roman Catholic churches. The publicly owned schools have no Christian religious instruction . No conversion from Islam is permitted.

A large part of the country's Christians are Catholics. Most of the country's Christians are foreigners. Many of them are of Asian descent, while Arab Christians live in far fewer numbers in the United Arab Emirates.
