Christhard Läpple

Christhard Läpple (born May 14, 1958 in Ludwigsburg ) is a German television journalist , lecturer, presenter, blogger and book author. He lives in Berlin .

Life

Läpple studied journalism, political science and history at the Free University of Berlin and graduated in 1983 with a Magister Artium (MA). Since 1979 he has worked as a freelance journalist for the TV stations SDR, SFB, the German-language program of the BBC and the Berliner Blätter Zitty, Spandauer Volksblatt and the Weddinger Neue Zeitung. In 1986 he volunteered at ZDF in Mainz and since 1987 worked as a correspondent in Bonn, West Berlin and East Berlin. In 1992 he switched to the newly founded Ostdeutscher Rundfunk (ORB, today rbb) to set up the Tagesschau / Tagesthemen editorial team in Potsdam. After returning to ZDF in Berlin, he took on various managerial positions at ZDF. In the mid-nineties he worked as deputy head of Kennzeichen D and from 1997 to 1999 in the ZDF studio in Berlin. From 2000 to 2013 responsible for the ZDF culture magazine aspekte , initially as deputy head and from 2011 as head of the editorial department. In 2006 Läpple published the two-part television documentary Feindzentrale on ZDF during the Cold War. Since 2013 he has been working as an author and correspondent a. a. for the heute journal and is the author of numerous ZDF documentaries. From 2002 to 2015 Läpple hosted Bertelsmann's Blue Sofa , ZDF and Deutschlandradio Kultur. Christhard Läpple has published several books since 2008.

Nomination for the "Long Breath" 2009. (Journalist Award of the Association of Berlin Journalists for persistent reporting). 2013 “German TV Prize for the Today Journal”, 2017. “Golden Camera” for the Today Journal (there himself a long-time author). 2018 “Hans-Joachim-Friedrichs-Preis” for 3Sat “Kulturzeit” (long-time author).
