Christian Drescher is a former German cyclist and the son of Heinz Drescher , who was a successful sprinter in GDR cycling in the 1950s.

At the UCI rail world championships in 1978 in Munich and at the rail world championships in Amsterdam the following year , Christian Drescher was third in the amateurs sprint . In the same year he won the CSSR Sprint Grand Prix in Brno ahead of Lutz Heßlich. In 1981 he took third place in the sprint classic Grand Prix de Paris and in 1983 second place behind Lutz Heßlich. In 1981 he was third in the sprint of the GDR championship.
