Grand Prix de Paris (cycling)

The Vincennes Velodrome was the venue for the “Grand Prix de Paris” for over 100 years.

The Grand Prix de Paris was a sprint track cycling competition . The race was held from 1894 to 1993 on the 500-meter-long track of the Vélodrome de Vincennes , Vélodrome municipal de Vincennes (called "La Cipale"), and was considered a classic and the most important sprint competition after the World Cup. The cycling track has been named after the French racing cyclist Jacques Anquetil since 1984 .
