Julien Pouchois (* 1888 in Lyon ; † 1955 ) was a French track cyclist .

Pouchois began cycling in 1906, initially with relatively little success. He worked as a lithographer and competed in bicycle races for sporting pleasure. In 1908 Julien Pouchois won the Grand Prix de Paris by surprise after he had to be persuaded to start by his racing driver colleague Lagarde. He benefited from the cancellation of some drivers such as Émile Friol , Gabriel Poulain and Major Taylor , who did not start because their request for an increase in the prize money was rejected by the organizers.

At the UCI Track World Championships in Rome in 1911 , Julien Pouchois was third in the professional sprint . In 1912 and 1913 he took second place at the Grand Prix de Paris . Also in 1912 and 1913 he won the other two most important French sprint tournaments, the Grand Prix de l'UVF and the Grand Prix d'Angers . In 1920 he became French sprint runner-up. Together with Thorwald Ellegaard , he formed a successful tandem couple. Pouchois rarely started abroad and could not achieve any further successes there.
