The Grand Prix de l ' UVF was a French sprint tournament that was held from 1894 to 1945. During this time, it was the most important competition for track sprinters alongside the UCI track world championships and the Grand Prix de Paris . The best professional sprinters of their time have entered the list of winners .

The competition was organized by the Union Vélocipédique Française , the predecessor organization of today's French cycling association, Fédération Française de Cyclisme (FFC). The place of the tournament changed. a. in Paris in the Vélodrome d'Hiver and in the Prinzenparkstadion , but also on cycle tracks in Tours , Arras and Bordeaux . The record winner was the Frenchman Lucien Michard with six successes. The Germans Walter Rütt and Albert Richter each won twice.
