Mario Bergamini

Mario Bergamini (born January 22, 1900 in Papozze , † March 28, 1987 in Desenzano ) was an Italian cyclist .

Sports career

Mario Bergamini was a professional cyclist from 1920 to 1935. In his first year as a professional he was Italian champion in the junior sprint , in 1928 and 1930 he became national professional champion. He started five times at the UCI track world championships , but without placing himself in the front. In 1929 he also won the Grand Prix de l ' UVF , a sprint tournament that was renowned at the time. He won the Grand Prix of the Italian Cycling Federation (an international invitation tournament) in 1917 and 1921.

Bergamini also competed in road races a few times . In 1925 he was 31st in Milan – Sanremo .
