Bruno Loatti
Bruno Loatti (born February 26, 1915 in Castel Bolognese ; † September 25, 1962 Bologna ) was an Italian track cyclist .
In 1936 Bruno Loatti started at the Olympic Games in Berlin with Carlo Legutti in a tandem race ; the duo took fourth place. In 1938 Loatti was runner-up in the amateurs sprint in Amsterdam . In the same year, as in 1939, he finished second in the prestigious sprint classic Grand Prix de Paris . In 1939 he became the Italian sprint champion.
While Loatti was touring Argentina , World War II broke out. He stayed in South America and became national coach in Chile ; In 1945 he finished third with Constant Huys in the six days of Buenos Aires . He then ran a bicycle shop in Buenos Aires. In 1961 he returned to Italy and died there the following year.
