Luca Ceci (born December 31, 1988 in Ascoli Piceno ) is an Italian track cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2010 Luca Ceci started at the World Railroad Championships in Ballerup near Copenhagen , but could not place in the front. At the European Track Championships in the same year he finished ninth in the team sprint , together with his cousins Francesco Ceci and Valerio Catellini . In 2011 he became two-time Italian champion, in the sprint and team sprint, together with Catellini and Francesco Ceci.

Up to and including 2017, Ceci was the Italian sprint and team sprint champion eight times.

Luca Ceci is a son of the former sprinter Vincenzo Ceci ; Francesco Ceci, Valerio Catellini and Francesco's younger brother, Davide Ceci , are his cousins. In 2012 the athletes rode for the Ceci Dreambike team , a UCI track team .

doping

As of September 26, 2012, Ceci was banned for two years for doping with the preparation 4-Metil-2-Esanamina . The suspension was later reduced to eight months.
