Maurice Verdeun

Maurice Verdeun (born February 2, 1929 in Bordeaux ; died October 13, 2014 ) was a French track cyclist .

1950 was Maurice Verdeun's most successful year: he became world champion in the sprint of amateurs, French champion and won the Grand Prix de Paris . In 1951 he was French sprint runner-up.

After finishing his sporting career, Verdeun took over the family's toy store in Bordeaux, "Jouets Maurice Verdeun", which his father had founded and which is now run by his children.
