Thomas Johnson (cyclist)

Horace Thomas "Tiny" Johnson (born March 1887 in Fulham ; † August 12, 1966 in Bromley ) was an English cyclist .

Horace Thomas Johnson was a successful track cyclist before and after the First World War . Twice he took part in Olympic Games in part, in 1908 in London and 1920 in Antwerp , and won three silver medals: in London, he finished in the tandem race in second place together with Frederick Hamlin and twelve years later, in Antwerp, he finished second in the Sprint and in the team pursuit .

In 1922 Johnson was world champion in the sprint of the amateurs, ahead of his long-term competitor, the Belgian Maurice Peeters , after he had finished second behind him at the Track World Cup in 1920 and the Olympic Games in the same year.
