UCI track world championships 1920
The 16th UCI Track World Championships took place from August 6th to 8th, 1920 in Antwerp .
German athletes were not allowed to take part in these world championships because the Association of German Cyclists had been excluded from the Union Cycliste Internationale due to the First World War . The German cycling newspaper Rad-Welt therefore reported only very briefly about this World Cup with the introductory words: "The races in Antwerp called 'World Championships' [...]." .
In the same year the Olympic Games took place in Antwerp. The final of the only competition that was held at both events, the amateur aviation race, was finished by the same two athletes with the same placements. The race took place two days after the end of the world championships.
