The best male athlete was François Pervis from France, also with three titles.
With three gold medals, the German Kristina Vogel (here at the Track Cycling World Cup 2012 in Glasgow) was the most successful female athlete at this World Cup.

The 104th UCI Track World Championships took place from February 26 to March 2, 2014 in Cali , Colombia .

The venue was the Velódromo Alcides Nieto Patiño . The athletes competed against each other in a total of 19 disciplines. There were 355 cyclists from 34 nations at the start.

Most successful was the team of the Association of German Cyclists , which won a total of eight medals, four of which were gold. These four gold medals were won by two riders: Kristina Vogel from Chemnitzer Team ERDGAS.2012 was three times world champion in the keirin , the sprint and team sprint together with Miriam Welte from Kaiserslautern , in turn, a second world title in 500-meter time trial won . The most successful male participant was the Frenchman François Pervis , also with three gold medals, in sprint, keirin and in the 1000 meter time trial. The Colombian newspaper El Universal called Vogel and Pervis "los reyes del Mundial de Pista" (German = "the kings of the World Railroad Championships").

The Colombian cyclist Edwin Ávila , who was world champion in points racing for the second time after 2011 and comes from Cali, was frenetically celebrated by the local audience .
