Casper von Folsach (born March 30, 1993 in Gentofte ) is a Danish cyclist .
Athletic career
Casper von Folsach has been active in cycling since 2002. In 2009 and 2010 he and Steffen Thomsen won the UIV Cup for young six-day riders as part of the Copenhagen six-day race . Also in 2010 he became Danish junior champion in the single pursuit . In 2011 he won two national junior titles on the road , in the team time trial and in the individual time trial ; on the track he was junior champion in the team pursuit and took podium places in other disciplines. At the UCI Road World Championships for Juniors, he finished sixth in the individual time trial.
At the UEC European Railway Championships in 2011 , von Folsach was runner-up in the team pursuit, together with Lasse Norman Hansen , Michael Mørkøv and Rasmus Christian Quaade ; in the individual time trial of the juniors at the road world championship he reached sixth place. In London , at the Olympic Games , the Danish four-man with von Folsach, Quaade, Mørkøv, Hansen and Mathias Møller Nielsen finished fifth. The following year, at the World Railroad Championships in Minsk , Folsach took third place in the team pursuit, together with Lasse Norman Hansen, Rasmus Christian Quaade and Mathias Møller .
In 2016 Casper von Folsach was nominated for participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he won the bronze medal in the team pursuit together with Lasse Norman Hansen , Rasmus Christian Quaade , Niklas Larsen , Frederik Madsen and Casper Pedersen .
At the UCI Rail World Championships 2018 in Apeldoorn , the Danish foursome finished second with von Folsach, Julius Johansen , Frederik Madsen and Niklas Larsen.
