Republic of Lydenburg

The Republic of Lydenburg ( Dutch Republiek Lydenburg ) was a South African Boer republic that was founded in 1856 after it separated from the Republic of Winburg-Potchefstroom . Its center was the city of Lydenburg , now Mashishing. In 1857 the Republic joined the Republic of Utrecht , with which it joined the South African Republic in 1860 .
