Davide Viganò (born June 12, 1984 in Carate Brianza ) is a former Italian cyclist .

Career

Davide Viganò began his international career in 2005 with the Italian Continental Team Androni Giocattoli-3C Casalinghi and switched to the Belgian UCI ProTeam Quick Step-Innergetic during the season , for which he drove until 2008. He took part in all three Grand Tours for Quick Step and other ProTeams . He achieved his best result in a big tour at the Vuelta a España 2008 , which he finished 93rd overall. His greatest success on the road came on the second stage of the Tour of Portugal in 2014 , when he won the RGA for the Professional Continental Team Caja Rural-Seguros in the mass sprint. In 2015 he won the Tour of Slovakia and the following year a stage and the points classification of the Sibiu Cycling Tour .

On the track , Viganò was European champion in the Derny race in 2012 .

Davide Viganò ended his cycling career in 2016, but still competed on track and fixie races .
