Jimmi Madsen

Jimmi Madsen (born January 4, 1969 in Copenhagen ) is a former Danish cyclist .

Madsen was a specialist in track cycling . In 1989 he was the first time Danish champion in the team pursuit with the amateurs ; In total he was eleven times Danish champion in various disciplines on track and road . In 1992, at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , he won the bronze medal with a four-wheel scull ; the following year he took second place with the Danish track four at the UCI track world championships in Hamar and third place at the 1999 track world championships in Berlin together with Jakob Piil in a two-man team .

As a professional (1993 to 2004, with interruptions) he celebrated particular successes in six-day races , his compatriot Jens Veggerby was the standard partner .

Today Jimmi Madsen is the sporting director of the Danish cycling team " Glud & Marstrand Horsens ".
