Jakob Storm Piil (born March 9, 1973 in Lyngby-Taarbæk ) is a former Danish cyclist .

The focus of Piil's cycling career was initially on the endurance disciplines on the track . At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta he started in the team pursuit and in 2000 in Sydney with Jimmi Madsen in the two-man team . He contested a total of 29 six-day races , of which he won two.

Jakob Piil was Danish champion nine times in various disciplines on the road and track, including the 2001 national title holder in road racing . There were also five titles at the championships of the Nordic countries on the track and the road. In 2002 he won Paris – Tours . He started four times in the Tour de France ; In 2003 he decided the tenth stage for himself.

Before Piil switched to the Danish team CSC in 2001 , he drove for the teams RDM (1997), Acceptcard (1998–1999) and Memory Card (2000). In the 2007 season, Piil drove for the T-Mobile team , after which he ended his career.
