Shachid Sagretdinov

Schachid Sagretdinow (also: Shakhid Zagretdinow, Szachid Zagretdinow, Russian Шахид Кашифович Загретдинов , Tatar : Şəhit Zahretdinov * 15. November 1958 in Staro-Kadejewo , Tatar ASSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Soviet cyclist.

Two years after his birth, he came to Olmaliq in Uzbekistan and grew up there. He studied sports in Tashkent .

In 1971 he joined the Dynamo Alma-Lik cycling club and was trained by Vladimir Majorov . As early as 1976 he was junior champion in the Uzbek Soviet Republic . In 1978 he was part of the Soviet team for the road world championship at the Nürburgring. In 1981 Shachid Sagretdinov won the International Peace Race , at that time the most important amateur bicycle race internationally.
