Piotr Wadecki

Piotr Wadecki (born February 11, 1973 in Elbląg ) is a Polish cycling coach and former racing cyclist .

Wadecki became a professional cyclist in 1997. During his time with the Belgian cycling teams Domo-Farm Frites , Quick Step and Lotto-Domo and with the Polish Mróz, he won the International Peace Race and a stage near Paris-Nice . In 2005 he drove for the Polish team Intel Action . He won one stage of the Hessen Tour and two stages as well as the overall ranking of the Course de la Solidarité Olympique . In 2006 he drove for CCC Polsat-Polkowice . After the 2006 season, he ended his career. Wadecki competed twice in the Tour de France , where his best result was 43rd place overall.

After finishing his active sports career, Wadecki became the Polish national coach. After his protégé Michał Kwiatkowski won the World Cup , he was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland in 2014.

Piotr's younger brother Adam Wadecki is also a professional cyclist.
