Sławomir Krawczyk

Sławomir Krawczyk (born May 28, 1963 in Trzebiatów ) is a former Polish cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

In 1984 he had his first major success with the overall victory in the stage trip Dookoła Mazowsza (Mazovia Tour). Two years later, in 1986, he was Polish road racing champion ahead of Andrzej Mierzejewski and won the Tour of Apulia for amateurs . In 1989 he finished second in the domestic Tour of Poland behind Marek Wrona and won the points classification of the tour, in which he had also achieved stage victories in years before. From 1980, 1982 to 1986 and 1990, he and his team won the team time trial championship . At the International Peace Tour in 1986 he finished 23rd. For Poland he started twice at the UCI Road World Championships in individual races. In 1987 he was 91st and 45th in 1990 . In 1990 he won the Polish mountain championship. The following year he won a few races in France and then received a contract for the Italian professional team Lampre for the 1992 season . After another stage win in the Tour of Poland in 1994, he ended his career.
